In a devastating incident on Lake Michigan, a boating accident resulted in the loss of one life and left six individuals injured. The tragic event occurred when a boat struck a breakwall in Chicago amid strong winds and high waves, causing it to capsize. 

The Chicago Police and Fire Departments' marine units swiftly responded to the scene for a rescue operation. Unfortunately, a woman in her 20s lost her life after becoming trapped under the capsized boat near the popular "Playpen" area. Despite the challenging weather conditions, authorities were able to recover her body after a brief suspension of the search. 

The six other boaters, aged between 20 and 30, including four women and two men, were rescued and transported to hospitals for treatment. As investigations continue, our hearts go out to the victims and their families, and we hope for a prompt recovery for the injured.
